Dr. Schulman was born in New Jersey and raised in Pennsylvania. He attended Franklin & Marshall College and went on to receive his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Schulman completed his training in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He currently holds an academic appointment at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and has operating and admitting privileges at The Mount Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Schulman has extensive training in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has authored several articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals dealing with complex reconstructive issues and he has presented his research on a national level. In addition to his interest in the reconstruction of complex wounds, Dr. Schulman also has a particular interest in breast and body contouring after massive weight loss. He has contributed to some of the newest surgical techniques. Dr. Schulman’s experience allows him to maximize his results and minimize potential complications.

Dr. Schulman recognizes that every patient is unique. He works with his patients to develop an individualized treatment strategy based on his or her desires, needs, and allowable recovery time. Dr. Schulman is dedicated to the care of his patients from the time of the initial consultation and throughout the entire recovery process.
